Constable Mark Herman's Criminal Investigations Division of Precinct 4 has made a significant arrest in a disturbing case of child pornography. Detectives acted on a tip regarding the possession and promotion of such illicit material at a residence on the 7600 block of Naremore Drive, as reported by the Precinct 4 Facebook page. An investigation swiftly followed, resulting in the procurement of a search warrant for a cellular phone which was found to contain several hundred files of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
The owner of the phone, Myles Reece, was identified, and upon questioning, he admitted to having actively searched for, downloaded, collected, and edited this reprehensible content. The Harris County District Attorney's Office has since slapped Reece with three 1st Degree Felony charges for Possession of Child Pornography. He now resides in the Harris County Jail, awaiting the next steps in the legal process.
In response to the arrest and the ongoing efforts to protect vulnerable citizens, Constable Mark Herman stated, "Our office provides all available resources to protect the most vulnerable of our citizens, especially the children of this community," as mentioned in the Precinct 4 Facebook post.
