Deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office were summoned to an incident in the 20600 block of Falling Cypress Court yesterday, where they witnessed the aftermath of an assault in which, according to reports, the passenger of a vehicle turned violent against the driver. The passenger, identified as Aytierra Jenkins, was subsequently detained by authorities.
After being placed in the squad car, Jenkins claimed she was having medical problems, prompting the deputies to call for EMS to evaluate her condition. While being checked upon, Jenkins forcefully kicked a deputy in the groin area, causing him pain, as reported by Constable Mark Herman's Office. This act led to additional charges being piled onto her initial accusation of assault.
The deputies' response was captured in a public statement by Constable Mark Herman, noting, "Aytierra Jenkins was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail charged with Assault and Assault on a Peace Officer. Her bond was set at $10,500.00 out of County Court 9 and the 209th District Court." The statement was released on the official Facebook page for Precinct 4 and encouraged locals to stay informed by following their updates online.
