Hernando County has announced a schedule for upcoming Special Master Hearings slated for July, addressing various county code violations. The hearings will be hosted at the Hernando County Government Center Board Chambers, located at 20 N. Main St., Rm. 160, in Brooksville, according to Hernando County's official website. These sessions offer a platform for public engagement and compliance resolution in areas ranging from animal services to building regulations.
Set for Wednesday, July 9, at 9:00 a.m., the first hearing will involve Animal Services, the Sheriff’s Office, Fish & Wildlife, and Fire Investigations. The following week, on July 16, at the same time, the Building Department will be reviewed. The final hearing, focused on Code Enforcement, is scheduled for Wednesday, July 23, at 9:00 a.m. Each of these hearings provides an opportunity for individuals to understand and rectify issues related to county codes and ordinances.
Adhering to the principles of Florida Statutes, all sessions will be open to the public. The county clearly states an inclusive approach for public participation, soliciting involvement "without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status." These affirmations underscore a commitment to equitable treatment and accessible governance.
Individuals with disabilities requiring special accommodations can reach out to the Paralegal Director at the County Attorney’s Office. These requests should be made no later than three days before the proceedings to ensure adequate preparations are made. For those with hearing or voice impairments, the county provides the option to call 711 for assistance, ensuring all community members have a chance to engage with these civic processes.
