Residents of Hernando County have a new reason to enjoy the sunny Florida days with the opening of the Anderson Snow Splash Park. The community is invited to attend the grand opening of this state-of-the-art water play area on July 9. According to an announcement on the county's official website, activities for the day, running from 10:00am to 12:00pm, will include family-friendly festivities, food trucks, and county information booths, jumping off immediately after the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:00am.

The splash park, located at 1360 Anderson Snow Rd in Spring Hill, FL, boasts an impressive range of features. It houses 32 interactive splash features and a 5,000-gallon underground storage tank, which enables a water recirculation system to cycle every three minutes. Designed to accommodate up to 174 people, the facility ranks in the top tier of municipal splash pads across the nation.

The partnership between the Hernando County Board of County Commissioners and the Rotary Clubs of Hernando County marks this addition to the community's recreational offerings as a significant accomplishment. In a statement found on the website, Hernando County Commissioner District 4, Jerry Campbell, celebrated the project's completion. "This project reflects the strong collaboration between our local government and civic organizations to enhance the quality of life for our residents," Campbell said.

For those looking to cool off and entertain the kids, or just enjoy a new community space, admission to the Anderson Snow Splash Park is free.
