Authorities arrested a man accused of operating a Ford Mustang with counterfeit license plates on Houston's toll roads. The arrest was the culmination of an investigation that started on June 12 when a Sergeant with Constable Mark Herman's Toll Road Public Safety and Incident Response unit noticed a discrepancy between the vehicle and its plates. The plates, although meticulous forgeries, were designed to mimic those of a different Ford Mustang.
As reported by Constable Mark Herman's Office, the driver, identified as Reginal Banks, failed to obscure his tracks sufficiently, leading investigators to unveil his scheme. In an action that sought to decisively curb such fraudulent attempts, the Harris County District Attorney accepted charges against Banks for Tampering with a Government Record to Defraud/Harm. Following the charges, law enforcement promptly issued a warrant for his arrest.
According to a post on Constable Mark Herman's Facebook page, "Reginal Banks was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the warrant. His bond was set at $5,000.00 out of the 495th District Court."
