
Houston police have arrested a man in connection with a homicide at an apartment complex. On Sunday at about 6:05 p.m., a stabbing occurred at 3820 Sherwood Lane, resulting in the death of a 38-year-old man. His identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, according to the City of Houston.
Juan Manuel Arguetta Avila, 37, has been charged with murder in the 262nd State District Court. A photo of him has been released to the public. After calling the police to report the stabbing, he was found by officers in front of the apartment complex and arrested without incident, as reported by the City of Houston.
Houston Police Homicide detectives P. Michon and I. Barrett found a male victim with multiple stab wounds on the sidewalk of an apartment complex. The Houston Fire Department declared the victim dead at the scene. Arguetta Avila admitted involvement and was charged after consultation with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.
