Houston area law enforcement arrested a man on suspicion of shoplifting at a local Walmart. Last Friday afternoon, Constable Mark Herman's Office deputies were called to the Walmart situated at 26200 Northwest Freeway following a report of a theft in progress. It was alleged that the suspect was engaging in 'skip scanning,' a technique where not all merchandise is properly scanned at self-checkout lanes.
As reported by Constable Mark Herman's Office, the individual in question, identified as Tayvion Jerrell, was stopped and detained by authorities. During their investigation, officers discovered that Jerrell had apparently visited the same Walmart the day before and had engaged in the same illicit activity.
In a post detailed on Constable Herman's Facebook page, the arrest was made public. "Tayvion Roe was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, for Theft Aggregate. His bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 3," stated Constable Mark Herman. The announcement also recommended residents to follow the Constable's Facebook page and to download their "C4 NOW" mobile app, which promises to provide live feeds on crime, arrests, and traffic accidents in the precinct.
