
Houston is once again grappling with the violent loss of a young life following a fatal shooting that occurred on Monday afternoon. At around 4 p.m., police were called to 7600 Curry Road, where they discovered an 18-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds, as reported in a release from the Houston Police Department.
Despite the efforts of the responding paramedics from the Houston Fire Department, the young man was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Houston Police Department's Homicide Division, led by Sergeant C. Ponder and Detective M. Althaus, is currently working to piece together the events that led to this tragic outcome. According to the city's official report, two males exchanged gunfire, resulting in the death of one, while the other suspect managed to rapidly flee on foot.
The formal identification of the victim is still pending, as the notification process of family members is being handled by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing as detectives are eager to gather more information from the public.
