Early this morning, a 21-year-old man was fatally shot at an address in Houston, sparking a police investigation into the incident. The shooting took place at approximately 12:30 a.m. at 605 Berry Road, according to a statement by the Houston Police Department (HPD). Officials are waiting to release the victim's identity until the family has been notified by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Vinogradov and D. Crowder reported to the scene after officers were called to respond to the shooting. Residents and officers cobbled together an attempt to provide first aid to the male victim who had been struck by multiple bullets. However, the man was pronounced dead by paramedics from the Houston Fire Department who arrived thereafter.
Witnesses at the scene provided a description of the suspects involved in this tragedy. They are said to be two unknown males, "one believed to be a black male wearing all black," who quickly left the scene following the incident, as reported by the HPD. The suspects fled in what has been described as a dark grey or black SUV, last seen heading southbound on McGallion Street.
