Houston authorities are currently investigating a shooting that left one man dead at 9834 Meadowglen Lane around 10 p.m. this past Monday. The man, 26, whose identity is being withheld until family is notified, was found with a fatal gunshot wound, according to the City of Houston News.

The Houston Police Department's Homicide Division, including Sergeant K. Meek and Detective A. Hernandez, responded to the incident after reports came in about a person down on 2901 Elmside Drive, where the victim ultimately collapsed and died. The victim was initially assaulted in a business parking lot on Meadowglen Lane, where a black Chevrolet pickup truck was seen shooting at him and a female, who both fled the scene. The investigation has yet to determine a motive or suspect(s), and the Chevrolet was last spotted heading northbound on Elmside Drive.
