Houston authorities are currently investigating a fatal stabbing that took place on Bigwood Street this past weekend, an incident that has left a 37-year-old man dead, his name withheld until his family is notified, according to a recent press release. The Houston Police Department arrived at the scene yesterday morning to find the victim with multiple stab wounds, and despite being rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The suspect was found hiding in a back room of the residence by officers after family members indicated his location; he was apprehended and also taken to a hospital for treatment of unidentified injuries, as reported by the City of Houston. There was an altercation between the two men that escalated, witnesses said, which resulted in the stabbing, though after a consultation with the Harris County District Attorney's Office, the suspect was released while the HPD Homicide Division continues its investigation into the details of the argument and subsequent attack.
