Houston police are currently investigating a deadly stabbing incident that took place near Hillcroft Avenue last night. The event resulted in the death of a 30-year-old man at an apartment complex located at 6525 Hillcroft Avenue around 7:45 p.m., as confirmed in a release by the HPD Homicide Division. As reported by the City of Houston, the victim's name has yet to be released publicly as authorities are still in the process of notifying his family, according to details provided by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Details are still emerging, but according to the initial investigation led by Detective K. Amri and Officer D. Toledo, officers were called to the scene to respond to reports of a stabbing. Upon their arrival, they discovered the man with multiple stab wound injuries, lying on his apartment balcony. The Houston Fire Department paramedics quickly transported him to an area hospital; he was later pronounced dead. Original reports from the scene suggest that the assailant, described only as an unknown black male dressed in all black, was seen to have quickly fled the scene in a vehicle that has not yet been identified.
