Houston police are seeking assistance from the public to identify a person of interest in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old man, Thomas Bazile, on April 30, shortly after midnight. The incident took place at 5499 Braesvalley Drive, as reported by City of Houston News.

The person of interest is a black male known as “Butta” or “Budah,” whose photographs have been released to the public. While police emphasize that this individual is not a suspect at this time, they believe he may hold valuable information about the crime. At approximately 12:20 a.m., officers responded to an assault report at an apartment complex and discovered a male lying in a breezeway with multiple stab wounds, later identified as Mr. Bazile.

Witnesses indicated that the stabbing followed an argument leading to a physical altercation between two males. Anton Addison, 18, believed to be the brother of the victim, was charged with murder in the 263rd State District Court following the event.

According to authorities, Addison was arrested by the HPD Southeast Patrol Division’s Crime Suppression Team on May 7 and now resides in the custody of the Harris County Jail. Running to a nearby abandoned apartment before fleeing, the suspect was said to be seen by witnesses. In ongoing investigations, detectives of the HPD Homicide Division identified Addison as a primary suspect and brought charges against him. Police urge anyone with information on the person of interest or regarding the case to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or to reach out to Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
