Fans lined up in sequins and cowboy hats, referencing Beyoncé’s “Formation” era. “I love Beyoncé so much,” said Houston resident Tamia Evans. “She just makes me so empowered and just feel like a woman, a diva, I love it, I love it so much.” Houston resident Miayan Tatum noted the local connection, saying, “Especially because we’re from the same side of town, same neighborhood and everything,” and described the concert as “It’s just like your cousin or your auntie or somebody coming back and just a big family reunion” as per KHOU. Fans visited Grooves of Houston in the Third Ward to take photos with a large Beyoncé mural, including Chavela House from North Carolina. Sebrina Davis said, "This is the queen's hometown, and that's what we do." Luis Broa traveled from Mexico and planned to attend several shows. The "Cowboy Carter" tour held its second Houston performance on Sunday evening, with doors opening at 7 p.m., as mentioned by KHOU.
