
Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Houston office recently deported 142 people with criminal convictions to Mexico. The deportations took place over two weeks, from May 19 to May 30. The group had been convicted of a total of 473 crimes and had illegally re-entered the U.S. 480 times. Among those deported were gang members and individuals convicted of child-related offenses, according to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Some of those deported included documented gang members and several individuals who had crossed the U.S. border multiple times, with one person having entered illegally 21 times and others having similar histories of repeated illegal re-entry. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement reported that the deportees had criminal records, including convictions for child sex offenses, driving under the influence, assault, and domestic violence.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement recently deported individuals with criminal records and multiple illegal entries into the U.S. Among them are Inocencio Juan Bustamante-Rodriguez, deported after 16 illegal entries and several convictions, and Jose Antonio Mauricio-Rodriguez, a gang member with a history of violent crimes. The group has a range of convictions, including drug offenses, trafficking, resisting arrest, and property crimes, with about 99 convictions related to illegal entry or reentry.
