Regarding hazardous weather, New York City remains mostly unaffected; however, beachgoers should be aware of a high rip current risk in effect through this evening for areas such as Southwest Suffolk and Southeast Suffolk, as noted by the National Weather Service. Southern Queens and Southern Nassau are also included in this advisory.
