Meanwhile, in The Bronx, today’s forecast calls for a high near 72 degrees with a slight chance of showers, followed by the possibility of scattered thunderstorms later in the day. As the week progresses, conditions are expected to improve, with mostly sunny skies returning. However, there remains a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. on Monday.
Regarding hazardous weather, New York City remains mostly unaffected; however, beachgoers should be aware of a high rip current risk in effect through this evening for areas such as Southwest Suffolk and Southeast Suffolk, as noted by the National Weather Service. Southern Queens and Southern Nassau are also included in this advisory.
