Early yesterday morning, the Long Beach Police Department responded to a shooting incident that left one man wounded. According to a statement released by the LBPD, at around 2:45 a.m. on June 11, 2025, officers were dispatched to a local hospital following reports that a male adult had admitted himself with a gunshot injury to his lower body.
The victim, whose name has not been disclosed, encountered gunfire near the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and Victoria Street, however, the details surrounding the shooting are still sparse as "the victim was uncooperative in providing details of the incident" according to the LBPD's account of the situation, officers located a crime scene in the same area where the shooting is believed to have taken place, but the search for the suspect and the exact motive behind this act of violence is ongoing.
With the investigation to find the perpetrator still underway, the LBPD has not yet identified any suspects, nor have they discerned the reasons behind the shooting.
