A man was shot in the foot following a road rage incident yesterday morning in the Regency area of Jacksonville, as reported by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. The altercation took place near the Speedway gas station located off Regency Square Boulevard. According to News4Jax, the incident occurred at around 11:30 a.m., and officers found the man suffering from a gunshot wound upon arrival at the scene.
The victim, a man in his late 20s, was promptly taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office elaborated that the two men initially involved in the road rage dispute both got out of their vehicles at an intersection to heatedly argue, which is when the suspect is alleged to have pulled out a weapon to shoot the victim.
