
An SUV rollover on the Southern State Parkway brought emergency responders to North Babylon, as a Jeep Wrangler was found on its side following a two-car collision. The incident occurred near Exit 39 around 10:51 a.m., with a New York State Police spokesperson confirming to CBS News New York that at least one person was ejected from the vehicle.
Footage captured by Chopper 2 showed an overturned white Jeep Wrangler, depicting the scene following the incident. Though specific details regarding the cause of the crash have not been confirmed, it is known from the Daily Voice report that all five occupants of the Jeep were transported to the hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening. Investigating authorities have yet to ascertain whether speed or impairment played a role in the accident, and an investigation by New York State Police is underway.
As the investigation presses forward, New York State Police have yet to release further information about the individuals involved or the specifics of the crash. Traffic on the parkway faced disruptions as emergency crews worked the scene, and drivers were advised to seek alternate routes.
