Jyron Lee was sentenced to 56 years in prison for the murders of his wife, Nancy Reed, and their 2-year-old daughter, Nadia Lee. He pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of murder, which ended the case without a trial, according to KHOU.
The case began when Nancy Reed was found strangled at a local hotel. Her daughter, Nadia, was missing. After several months, Nadia’s body was found in Vince Bayou. On the night of Reed’s death, Lee told police, “He thought she was choking the baby or the child,” as reported by KHOU.
Lee was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole on Monday for the murders of his wife and daughter, as mentioned by ABC13. His sentences will run at the same time. Investigators found that he had searched topics online related to child discipline and how long it takes for a body to decompose. They also found pictures of his daughter Nadia with facial injuries. The plea deal ended the legal proceedings.
