
Chaos broke out briefly in Kalihi early this morning when police tried to stop a stolen vehicle. According to the Honolulu Police Department Facebook page the incident happened just after 12:30 AM when District 5 officers spotted the car.
As officers approached, the driver of the stolen car tried to speed away, nearly hitting three of them. He then crashed into two unmarked police cars, which stopped the vehicle and allowed police to arrest everyone inside, as reported by the Honolulu Police Department.
The 33-year-old driver now faces serious charges, including Attempted Murder of a police officer and Unauthorized Control of a Vehicle. His 33-year-old passenger was also arrested for Unauthorized Entry into a Vehicle and had an outstanding warrant, as per the Honolulu Police Department.
