Kaua‘i County is dealing with phone outages that have made some lines and voicemails unusable. Officials are asking the public to use the county website for government services instead. The County’s IT team is monitoring the issue and will share updates as they come. The outage was first reported in a press release on the County of Kaua'i website.
The phone outages are causing some inconvenience, but emergency services are still working. Both 911 and the Kaua‘i Police Department’s non-emergency line are fully functional. For those who can’t get through, the county has shared backup numbers: (808) 755-8516 and (808) 652-7837. This info, along with other updates, is available on the County of Kaua‘i website.
Despite the outages, local officials are doing their best to keep services available. Email is the easiest way to reach government offices for now, as per the County of Kaua‘i.
