Yesterday, Nassau County Police Department officers responding to a disturbance call around midday discovered the remains of a cat that had been subjected to severe cruelty inside a home on Park Avenue in Lakeview. According to PIX11, Azzm Khan, a 26-year-old man, was found in the residence in the company of the deceased feline.
Following the discovery, Khan was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital, according to authorities. The specific condition requiring medical attention was not immediately disclosed. He is facing charges of aggravated cruelty to animals and torturing animals/failure to provide sustenance.
