In a nod to local dedication and initiative, the Las Vegas City Council is set to honor Carole Adams Hattar for her contributions to the community, particularly with the NBA Summer League. The council meeting, scheduled for June 4, will commence after an 8:30 a.m. Redevelopment Agency meeting in the Council Chambers at City Hall. According to a bulletin released by the City of Las Vegas, Ward 2 Councilwoman Victoria Seaman will present Adams Hattar as the June Citizen of the Month.
Adams Hattar has been a steadfast fixture in the NBA Summer League since 2004; she has managed to significantly connect the organization's efforts with the residents of Las Vegas, particularly through the NBA Summer League Junior Basketball Program. Her work has not only fostered community events but has also nurtured the growth and development of young athletes. The councilwoman's recognition of Adams Hattar speaks to her commitment to ensure that these efforts continue to thrive in the fabric of Las Vegas culture, as reported by the City of Las Vegas.
Apart from this individual accolade, Mayor Shelley Berkley will also address the significant efforts of the Toxic Encephalopathy Foundation. The local organization has been instrumental in raising the public's awareness concerning the risks associated with chemicals and toxins, and their detrimental effects on brain health, as per the City of Las Vegas.
If you can’t attend in person, you can watch it live on City of Las Vegas TV. The meeting agenda is also available on the City of Las Vegas official website. Las Vegas residents are encouraged to get involved, whether by showing up in person or tuning in online.
