The City of Las Vegas will close the parking lot at 201 E. Utah Ave starting June 23 to prepare for construction of the Arts District Parking Garage. Fencing will be installed on that date. Demolition is scheduled for July, with construction beginning in August, according to the City of Las Vegas.
People who visit the area south of Charleston Boulevard can use other off-street parking options. The City of Las Vegas manages several parking lots and garages in downtown Las Vegas. Monthly permits are available for long-term parking, with more information on the City of Las Vegas official website. A new parking structure will open at East Utah Avenue and Casino Center Boulevard, adding 502 parking stalls.
The City of Las Vegas and the Redevelopment Agency are investing $25 million to build the Arts District Parking Garage, which is expected to be finished by August 2026. The garage will add more parking spaces and include 50 stalls for electric vehicle charging. It will have two entrances, one on Casino Center and another on East Imperial Avenue. The project is intended to improve parking and access in Downtown Las Vegas.
