In a bid to improve transportation infrastructure in Lewisville, the local authorities have teamed up with the U.S. Department of Transportation Central Federal Lands to revamp sections of East Jones Street and North Kealy Avenue. The project, entrusted to Construction Solutions Group, LLC and F5 Welding & Dozier, aims to enhance the roads from North Cowan Avenue up to 650 feet south of the Jones and Kealy intersection. Lewisville City Hall announced via social media.
Initiated on Monday, the first phase of this construction journey is slated to reach completion by September 11, weather on its side. As part of the initial changes, "closing Jones St. and Kealy Avenue to one way traffic so that the one way traffic can travel northbound on Kealy Avenue only and westbound on Jones Street only," per the plan outlined in Lewisville City Hall's social media update. Detour routes have been established for eastbound Jones Street and southbound Kealy Avenue to minimize disruption and maintain traffic flow.
Those navigating the construction zones should heed caution, as lane closures and potential minor delays are expected during the construction period. Lewisville City Hall extends an apology for any inconvenience caused and seeks the public's cooperation to ensure safety for all. Motorists should consult the attached traffic control plan for specifics about the detours.
