The clear skies and warm temperatures that have been making Angelenos reach for their sunglasses and sunscreen are set to continue, as the latest weather forecast for Los Angeles predicts more sunny days. According to the National Weather Service, today Los Angeles can expect a sunny day with a high near 88 degrees. Winds are slated to shift from an east-southeast direction in the morning to west-southwest by the afternoon, blowing at 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight, the city should largely remain under a mostly clear night sky, with temperatures dropping to a cool low around 62 degrees. The west southwest winds will transform to come from the east after midnight. The pattern of sunshine with highs hovering near the 88-degree mark is expected to repeat on Tuesday, signaling a week ahead that will largely mirror these conditions. Such consistency in weather patterns offers residents the chance to fully plan and prepare to properly relish the outdoors.
The National Weather Service has also noted a trend for the evenings: "Patchy fog after 11pm." This condition is expected to persist over the next several nights, starting Tuesday night and becoming a nightly feature throughout the rest of the week. This fog should disperse by mid-morning the following day, returning the sky to its mostly sunny state. Wednesday's sunshine, for example, is forecasted to be slightly cooler with a high near 84 degrees after the fog lifts.
As we head towards the weekend, temperatures are forecasted to slowly decline, yet essentially remain steady. Friday's high is expected to be around 80 degrees after the morning fog dissolves away, and by Saturday, the high is predicted to dip slightly to near 78 degrees. Nighttime lows will also slightly drop, reaching approximately 60 degrees by Saturday night.
