Authorities apprehended a man accused of evading arrest after he was spotted peering into vehicles at a local business parking lot. The incident unfolded in the 300 block of Pennbright Drive, where Constable Mark Herman's Special Operations Unit responded to a call regarding a suspicious individual yesterday.
According to a Facebook post by the Harris County Precinct 4, deputies attempted to engage the man, who was later identified as Shawn Stone, but he initiated a chase by fleeing on foot. Deploying a department-issued Taser, they were successful in detaining Stone. Upon his arrest, he was discovered to have an open felony warrant for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
"Shawn Stone was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrant and charged with Evading on Foot," the Constable's office stated. Details about Stone’s case are limited, including his current status at Harris County Jail, where he is awaiting bond from the 496th District Court.
