A man was shot in the Penrose neighborhood of St. Louis yesterday, sparking a fresh investigation in a community often grappling with the scourge of gun violence. According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident took place on the 4800 block of Farlin Avenue around 11:20 AM.
Upon arrival, District 6 officers quickly found a 21-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. The man's condition was severe enough to have to immediately be transported to a local hospital, where he was described as being in critical but stable condition.
