Earlier this morning, a fatal dirt bike accident claimed a man's life in White Oak, Allegheny County. According to WTAE, the incident occurred along Long Run Road, where police responded to a report of a person lying in the road at approximately 1:20 a.m.
Despite the efforts of first responders, arriving at the scene confirmed the man was deceased. Riding a street-legal dirt bike at the time of the crash, the victim struck the guardrail, the Allegheny County Police reported. Found by the police, the body was lying in the road, signaling a tragic end to what would have been a mundane journey.
As of now, the identity of the man has not been released, while the investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward. "Anyone with information with regard to this incident is asked to call the County Police Tip Line 1-833-ALL-TIPS," as WPXI noted, with the assurance that callers can remain anonymous.
