
A man was fatally stabbed yesterday outside a closed convenience store in Southeast Portland's Foster-Powell neighborhood, sparking a police investigation into the city’s latest episode of violence. The Portland Police Bureau, responding to a 12:30 a.m. call, discovered the victim in the parking lot of the 6200 block of Southeast Foster Road, as reported by OregonLive.
The scene, cordoned off by the authorities for further inspection, saw homicide detectives working behind the police tape to uncover clues, while the identity of the victim has yet to be disclosed. According to KPTV, the assailant remains at large, and the police have not provided any suspect information at this time.
Investigators are calling on the community, for any witness or anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist in the ongoing case. "Homicide detectives closed the surrounding blocks for an investigation," as noted by KATU.
