An incident unfolded on Union Avenue in Midtown, Memphis, last Friday night, leaving a man dead after being struck by a vehicle. Action News 5 reports that the Memphis Police Department responded to the crash outside the Walgreens at 1863 Union Avenue just before 9:50 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers found the pedestrian in critical condition. He was transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries, according to WREG.
The driver involved in the incident remained at the scene. As reported by FOX13 Memphis, the accident occurred around 9:49 p.m. in the 1800 block of Union Avenue. The Memphis Police Department noted that the driver is cooperating, and the investigation is ongoing.
