Early this morning, the Houston Fire Department (HFD) was called to the scene of a house fire in southwest Houston, where they heroically conducted a rescue operation. According to ABC13, a 911 call came in around 7 a.m. from an individual reportedly unable to escape a residence engulfed in flames on Corona Lane and Sea Shore. HFD personnel were able to quickly and safely rescue a man trapped inside the burning structure.
The individual rescued was transported to the hospital, but at this time, details concerning their condition have yet to be disclosed. Another person, who was also in the home when the fire broke out, managed to safely exit but could not assist in helping the trapped person. HFD is now attempting to scrupulously investigate the cause of the fire, which remains undetermined.
In parallel, KHOU reported that upon their arrival, HFD began an offensive attack against the fire, searching the home and successfully rescuing the individual. The victim's plea for help was received at approximately 7:02 a.m., prompting HFD's immediate response. Images captured by Air 11 shortly before 8 p.m. showed firefighters winding down operations, packing up their gear after extinguishing the blaze.
