Mansfield, Texas, is stepping up its game for furry residents and their two-legged companions. In celebration of National Best Friends Day, the Mansfield Texas Parks & Recreation department announced some major upgrades to Mans Best Field Dog Park, according to a social media post. And man, do they have some serious plans to make tails wag.
The park, already popular among dog owners, is getting a dose of nighttime sparkle with string lighting set to adorn all four paddocks. This should keep the party vibes going for canines who aren't ready to turn in just because the sun has set. As anyone with a pooch knows, the winter months can be a drag, when evenings are cut short by early nightfall, so this light-up initiative is sure to be a hit.
More than just lighting, the existing pond will see a transformation into a fenced-in spot for pups to splash around in. Plus, a new trail leading to this aquatic play area is being introduced, complete with a convenient dog washing station — because nobody wants a muddy car interior.
For those who prefer their dog gatherings to be more organized, there will be a rentable pavilion nestling into the center space. It seems ideal for those wishing to throw their furry friend a birthday bash or some other significant event in their dog's social calendar; the décor just begs for a little canine soiree.
