A fire erupted at a storage facility in northwest Harris County early this morning, damaging multiple units and challenging local firefighters with its heat and intensity. According to Click2Houston, the incident commenced around 2:30 a.m. at Snyderville Storage on Windfern and Perry Road; firefighters from the Cypress Creek Fire Department arrived on the scene to engage with the conflagration.
The fire, which carved a path of destruction through 16 storage units, called for additional reinforcements and the investigative expertise of the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office (HCFMO), while it also heaped strain upon the responding firefighters, three of whom were treated for heat exhaustion but continued their duties after recovery. The fire was eventually brought under control after extensive efforts, as reported by KHOU.
While the fire is now out and the danger has passed, the cause remains unknown. Investigators from HCFMO are working to find out what started the blaze and what led to the early morning disruption in northwest Harris County.
