Those planning to sort through paperwork or visit county landmarks will need to promptly reschedule as the Lahaina Resource Center and the Recovery Permit Center, alongside Hāna, Molokaʻi, and Lānaʻi landfills, will not be operational. Individuals usually reliant on these services should swiftly note the adjusted hours for Central Maui Landfill and Maui EKO Compost, which are set to open early but to close at noon, as reported by the County of Maui's official announcement.
Fortunately, residents can take solace in the steadfast operations of residential trash pickup and the Maui Bus service, which will maintain their regular schedules. After the day-long tribute to King Kamehameha I, it's business as usual come Thursday with the promise to fully resume all regular activities and office hours, as per the County of Maui.
