
The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating a missing person, Ana Escobar-Arevalo, aged 40. According to a release by the MPD, Escobar-Arevalo was last spotted last Friday, May 30, departing from her home in the 5800 block of 8th Street, Northeast, D.C. She was seen driving her blue 2008 Honda CR-V with DC plates EB 2261.
Escobar-Arevalo is described as a Hispanic female, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing approximately 142 pounds, with long brown hair and a light complexion. When she was last seen, she wore black pants, a black sweater, and black shoes. The MPD has circulated a recent photo of Escobar-Arevalo and one of her vehicles. Detectives from the MPD's Missing Persons Unit are actively handling this case. They have found that after she was last seen in D.C., there is evidence suggesting that Escobar-Arevalo may have traveled to Charles County, Maryland. Police have not disclosed the nature of this evidence or further details on potential leads.
