The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public's help in an assault case that occurred on December 29, 2024, in Northwest Washington. According to the Metropolitan Police Department release, the incident happened around 11:00 p.m. during an argument over money inside a residence on the 1600 block of Columbia Road NW.
The dispute escalated when the suspect reportedly used a knife to cut the victim's hand, causing a minor injury. After the assault, the suspect fled the scene with the victim's belongings.
Police are asking residents and local businesses to review the photos and contact authorities with any information. Metropolitan Police Department stated that tips leading to an arrest and conviction may be eligible for a reward, and anonymity is available for those who wish to remain unidentified.
