The Metropolitan Police Department is actively seeking assistance from the community to find a suspect believed to be involved in a recent homicide in Anacostia. Last Tuesday, officers from the Seventh District were dispatched to the 2300 block of Pitts Place, Southeast after receiving reports of a shooting, where they found Tequila Parker, a 32-year-old resident, already in critical condition; despite the efforts of DC Fire and EMS, the woman, stricken by a bullet, did not survive, as reported by the Metropolitan Police Department.
The suspect, Mercury Ford, a 20-year-old from Southeast, DC, has been named by authorities and is presently wanted on a warrant for First Degree Murder while Armed. The Metropolitan Police Department announced the issuance of the warrant and has made public a photo of Ford, hoping that someone will come forward with information about his whereabouts.
The perpetrator, Mercury Ford, remains at large and is considered dangerous, with police officials emphasizing the need for caution among the public should they come into contact with the suspect.
