A 1-year-old girl who was the subject of an Amber Alert in Ohio has been found safe, Columbus police confirmed. The alert was issued after police reported she was taken from a residence in east Columbus shortly after 3 A.M. yesterday. Court documents reviewed by reporters state that the child's father, identified as Gebremeskel, allegedly committed an assault on two people at the 6000 block of Thornton Road around 1:10 A.M., and thereafter absconded with his daughter prompting the Amber Alert, according to law enforcement officers the incident saw both a man and a woman sustaining stab wounds at the hands of the accused with the woman suffering a cut to her lip as she tried to disarm Gebremeskel, she recounted her ordeal to a detective while being treated at the hospital, as WCHS TV detailed in a report obtained from court files WCHS TV.
