
Travel was temporarily disrupted in Benton Township following a motorcycle crash that led to the closure of a section of Co Rd 53, according to the Carver County Sheriff's Office. The section, closed between Co Rd 50 and 150th St, was the scene of an emergency that brought traffic to a halt as crews responded. Traffic was eventually restored as the road reopened to the relief of commuters who had been advised to seek alternative routes during the course of the investigation.
The incident, which drew the Minnesota State Patrol into a meticulous crash reconstruction, remains under investigation by both the State Patrol and the Sheriff’s Office, who are working in tandem to unravel the circumstances of the crash, the Minnesota State Patrol has finished their crash reconstruction, and there were no immediate details made available on the cause of the crash or the condition of those involved in the accident.
The Carver County Sheriff's Office took to social media to announce both the closure and subsequent reopening of the road, providing crucial updates to residents and travelers. They stated, "Co Rd 53 is open to all traffic," marking the end of a temporary but impactful disruption.
