Authorities in Macomb County have detained a 29-year-old woman from Mount Clemens on allegations of possessing material related to child sexual abuse, following a search warrant executed by Macomb Area Computer Enforcement (MACE) detectives and the Sheriff’s Enforcement Team (SET), as reported by CBS News Detroit.
The search, which was performed at the woman's residence on Friday, led to her being taken into custody without incident; this incident resulted from a tip-off received by MACE detectives from the Michigan Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children signaling that the suspect might have uploaded numerous child sexually abusive videos and images, ClickOnDetroit detailed the involvement of the authorities.
As the investigation progresses, several pieces of evidence gathered from the suspect's home are subject to forensic analysis to understand their contents and to confirm the charges that the suspect will be facing, the Macomb County Sheriff's Office shared in a social media post.
The woman whose identity remains undisclosed pending formal charges is slated for arraignment next Monday at the 41-B District Court in Clinton Township.
