Mount Juliet's recent shoplifting case at Target was wrapped up briskly, courtesy of local law enforcement's efficiency and the eyes of surveillance tech. The Mt. Juliet Police reported over social media that their officers, with a hand from the #MJGuardianShield license plate readers, managed to crack the case.
Last Friday, a 40-year-old woman from Mt. Juliet chose to lift merchandise from the local Target and fled after the store's loss prevention team approached her. Having identified her, authorities got a theft warrant in her name, according to the Mt. Juliet Police's social media post. The license plate readers, part of the much-discussed #MJGuardianShield system, later marked her vehicle on Lebanon Road, near Park Glen Drive.
