
The Napa County District Attorney’s Office has formally charged Ernie Victor Solis, a 40-year-old Napa man, with the triple murder of Hailey Privett, 33, and her unborn twins. As per a Napa County announcement, Solis is facing three counts of murder, with additional allegations including involvement with a deadly weapon and violent conduct, among others. The press release issued by the DA's office details the various special allegations Solis is up against, which could lead to life imprisonment without parole or the death penalty.
Authorities apprehended Solis after he was identified as the primary suspect in the homicide that occurred on Dale Drive on June 8th. Solis was listed previously as a Hispanic male, 5’8”, weighing around 230 pounds, according to the City of Napa's description, urging the public to exercise caution and immediately contact law enforcement if seen. Following an alert from the Napa Police, the collaboration between the county sheriff's office, the DA’s office, and the Special Investigations Bureau has been crucial in the progression of this case.
Solis is detained at the Napa County Department of Corrections without bail and is scheduled for a court appearance on June 17, where he is expected to enter a plea. The upcoming hearing, according to the DA's office, will also set a date for a preliminary hearing. Napa County officials have stated that they will not release further details to ensure the integrity of the ongoing legal process.
