Authorities in Napa have announced an update to the recent homicide investigation, signaling a significant development in the case. As reported by the Napa Police Department's Facebook page, the suspect in the Dale Drive homicide, Ernie Victor Solis, has been apprehended.
Following an initial dispatch to the 4300 block of Dale Drive on June 8th, the death of an adult female led to a rapid intensification of law enforcement efforts. An arrest warrant was issued for 40-year-old Napa resident Solis, sought for the crimes of murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and domestic violence with injury. With the community's safety at the forefront, Napa Police urged the public not to approach him but to call 911 immediately upon sightings. According to the City of Napa, the suspect has been described as a male Hispanic, 5’8”, and approximately 230 pounds.
The tragic event has drawn a coordinated response from various segments of law enforcement, including the Napa Sheriff’s Office, the Napa District Attorney’s Office, and the Napa Special Investigations Bureau. Working together to ensure justice is served, these agencies have meticulously approached the case. While earlier rumors had brought federal agencies into the mix of speculation, the Napa authorities clarified that no federal agencies were involved with operations in Napa on the day of the homicide, per Hoodline, reinforcing the absence of a broader threat to the community and assuring residents that the incident is believed to be isolated.
