The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department reported that, in a hit-and-run incident, an individual was injured on Tuesday. Around 12:54 p.m., near the corner of W Broadway Street and J Street, deputies rushed to respond to a vehicular collision. They arrived to find damages wrought and, more tragically, a victim in need of urgent medical care, later transported to a local hospital. In pursuit of justice, deputies have arrested a suspect identified as 32-year-old Richard Herrera, a resident of the same town.
Deputies were able to identify a dark gray Honda CR-V as implicated in the incident, which was located on the 2000 block of Casa Linda Street. Richard Herrera, the man accused of deserting the scene, now faces multiple charges. These include a hit and run causing injury and violating his probation, further complicated by an outstanding warrant for vehicle theft. According to the press release obtained from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Herrera remains in custody, bail denied, and is awaiting his court hearing.
