Neuro.io, a branch of the global neurotechnology company MindMaze AI, has announced plans to invest $100 million in an innovation campus called BrainHUB in Terrebonne Parish. The facility will be the company’s first operational site in the United States and will focus on large-scale applications of AI and brain technology. According to the Louisiana Economic Development, the project is expected to create over 1,100 direct jobs in AI engineering, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing.

BrainHUB’s development in Houma is set to begin in fall 2025 and is expected to create up to 2,786 jobs, including 1,686 indirect jobs. The project will include upgrades to a local facility, the manufacturing of neuro-devices, development of AI platforms, and the creation of a digital therapeutics training center. Louisiana Economic Development Secretary Susan B. Bourgeois said, “This significant investment in the Bayou Region demonstrates how innovation not only drives economic growth, but can also elevate our communities.” MindMaze founder Dr. Tej Tadi said, “We’re thrilled to build the first BrainHUB in Louisiana,” adding that “The alignment of progressive leadership, scalable infrastructure, and deep-rooted community vision makes Terrebonne Parish an ideal launchpad,” as reported by the Louisiana Economic Development.

Neuro.io plans to expand BrainHUB over the next decade to include pharmaceutical and medical applications, AI data centers, engineering clusters, and cognitive labs. The company’s investment is supported by Louisiana Economic Development through LED FastStart workforce programs and a $10 million performance-based grant tied to meeting specific job and payroll goals. “We competed, and we won! This project is about more than jobs — it’s about placing the Bayou Region at the center of a once-in-a-generation tech wave,” said Terrebonne Parish President Jason Bergeron. The Terrebonne Economic Development Authority and COLAB also acknowledged the project as a step toward new job opportunities and technology development. Neuro.io has opened registration for job notifications and project updates, as mentioned by the Louisiana Economic Development.
