The skies of New Braunfels are set to once again erupt with the colorful flourishes of the Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular, with festivities commencing at 9:15pm on the nation's Independence Day. In a partnership that has stood the test of time, H-E-B continues to sponsor the event, ensuring that the beloved community celebration lights up Landa Park on July 4. This year's spectacle promises to draw residents and visitors alike, with the pyrotechnics being launched over Landa Lake and visible from various viewing spots including the Landa Park Golf Course at Comal Springs and Fischer Park, as detailed in a recent announcement posted on the City of New Braunfels website.
Parks and Recreation Director Chad Donegan expressed his anticipation for the event, saying, "The annual Fireworks Spectacular over Landa Park is such a fun tradition for our community," as he was quoted on the city's website. Donegan continued to warmly invite the community, adding that "There's nothing better than seeing family and friends come together to celebrate our nation's independence in their hometown parks," as stated by the City of New Braunfels.
As night descends, the skydiving escapades of the RE/MAX Skydiving Team are to dramatically precede the fireworks, descending upon the golf course and adding an additional layer of thrill for those in attendance. Rules and regulations remain in effect, with Police Chief Osbaldo Flores reminding celebrations that fireworks are strictly prohibited without a permit within city limits. In an effort to maintain safety and encourage community enjoyment, he advised residents "to leave the fireworks to the professionals and enjoy the show in Landa Park," as per the City of New Braunfels official statements published online.
If you’re going to the Fireworks Spectacular, try to arrive early to get a good spot since it will be crowded. Please follow all park rules to keep the event safe and fun for everyone. You can enjoy the fireworks even more by listening to patriotic music on KGNB 1420 AM/103.1 FM, as per the City of New Braunfels.
