Interim Central Library Manager Allison Steger underscored the library's ambition, "When the Austin Central Library opened, the goal was to create more than just a place for people to check out books downtown; it was to give the entire Austin community a destination for coming together to discover, learn, and create," AustinTexas.gov reported.
