The Pasco Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a late-night shooting incident that claimed the life of one individual at the crossroads of Ogalala St. and Tipton Ave. in New Port Richey. According to a social media statement by the office, the events unfolded around 9:15 p.m. and resulted from an altercation between two adult men, who reportedly had prior acquaintance.
The suspect involved in the incident is still at large, having eluded law enforcement officials who responded post-incident, the department revealed ongoing efforts to apprehend the individual involved and urged the public to come forward with any pertinent information that may aid in the investigation, noting the importance of community involvement in such cases where crucial details often emerge from the very fabric of the neighborhoods affected. The victim, initially rushed to the hospital in critical condition, was pronounced deceased thereafter.
